After a visit to Tabitha's farm, Peter decided it was time to go to nurseries for bamboo. Now, he has over 40 almost mature bamboo clusters each with over 30 trees, enough to supply everyone who wants to start a bamboo nursery. Once a stalk of becomes a seedling, the cheapest it goes for is 200 shillings. A farm worker makes Kshs 200 per day, and can buy a kilogram of sugar in the Kenyan market with that amount of cash. A small piece of land (just 6'x4') can produce over 200 seedlings of bamboo.
Determined to make a difference, Peter supplied some of the material from his farm to the hatchery expert and to Ulu Borehole.
